Salvatore DiGiacomo founded The Franklin Concrete Corporation in 1919.
The company built monuments which still rank as some of America's finest
buildings: Rockefeller Center, West Virginia Capital Building, Hampshire
House, and Cincinnati Railroad Terminal.
After World War II, Salvatore started Salvatore DiGiacomo General Contractors.
In 1966, Salvatore incorporated as S. DiGiacomo & Son, Inc. Salvatore
and his son, Philip, continued the firm as a leader in providing dependable,
high quality General Contracting and Construction Management.
S. DiGiacomo & Son's accomplishments during this period include Merrill
Lynch (Midtown consolidation, 717 Fifth Avenue, NYC) and Brooklyn Union
Gas (Meters and Operations Facilities, Brooklyn, NY).
Today S. DiGiacomo & Son, Inc., is managed by Phillip's son Stephen. As a leader in the building industry, the company is involved
in hundreds of projects each year. This experience has developed their
expertise for managing people, materials, equipment and technology. The
ability to produce exceptional quality work on schedule is the keystone
of S. DiGiacomo & Son, Inc. Successes during this period include
Merrill Lynch (World Head Quarters, Main trading floor, NYC) and
Pequot Capital Management (Executive offices /trading desk).
